Make a real difference.

Volunteer with Irish Charity Haven in Haiti from the 15th April - 24th April 2016.

Haven’s volunteers will work long days in sweltering heat on programmes designed around Haven’s three core developmental areas; Water & Sanitation, Shelter and Training & Education. Interaction with the community will be one of the key components of the Volunteer Programme. Volunteers will partake in a broad range of activities suited to multiple skill sets.

Volunteers will leave Ireland on Friday the 15th of April and return to Dublin Airport on Sunday the 24th of April. (All international volunteers will meet in Atlanta International Airport on Saturday the 16th of April).

You can get a feel for how Haven volunteers spend their time in Haiti from watching this video from our 2015 programme:

The 2010 earthquake in Haiti affected more than two million people. Today, thousands of Haitians continue to live in dire conditions with 347,000 people still living in camps throughout the region.

These families need your help. Your sacrifice of time and comfort, your hard work and your commitment to not only cover your own costs but to raise funds for future work in Haiti is what will truly make volunteering with Haven a life-changing experience.

Your participation with Haven will not only ensure the success of this project, but will help continue Haven‘s work across Haiti. Your participation will change lives.

The trip as a whole costs €4,500 and of this just under €1,750 goes towards logistical costs such as flights, accommodation, insurance, food and transportation while in Haiti.

The rest of the fundraising goes towards the projects that you will be working on during the week.
