Haven assumed the management and administration of Soul of Haiti in January 2016.
Established in 2007 by a group of Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalists, Soul of Haiti was an Irish non-profit organisation, focused on empowering communities in Haiti through social entrepreneurship.
Haven and Soul of Haiti regularly supported and collaborated on one another’s projects. Since January 2016, Soul of Haiti’s team and projects on the ground – including the innovative Christine Model Farm – transferred to Haven.
By coming together, the strength of our impact in Haiti will only grow, with significant reductions in administration costs and a pooling of important resources which will directly benefit those who need them most.
Fundraising events planned for Soul of Haiti throughout 2016 – such as Cycle4Haiti which takes place over the May Bank Holiday weekend – continue as normal, with all money raised going directly to the sustainable community development programmes underway in Haiti.
We’re very excited about this new development, and are looking forward to working closely with our new team members, Damien Meaney and Ailish O’Reilly, into the future. Thanks to all of Soul of Haiti’s fantastic supporters over the years, and we hope to continue to make a difference in Haiti together!
