Kitty’s Story | Moving on to the next project

Won’t say too much about today.

Suffice to say that things were looking a bit hairy politically, and we were worried about safety on the road, but we were kept updated on the situation by the hour.

We are staying in Port-au-Prince again tonight, and I had the most amazing shower with hot water – I feel so clean!  My last shower was a trickle of cold water, not even enough to wash off the soap before it just stopped.  We had a great meal with dessert and I feel full for the first time this trip.

So we are safe and well, and I am very relieved our journey today went without a hitch.

Kitty Kearns and her partner Warren volunteered with Haven’s projects in Haiti for a few weeks in February 2016.  Every few days, Kitty shared all that went on.
