TV host Laura Whitmore is set to host the 2018 Haiti Ball

Our team at Haven is delighted to welcome TV host Laura Whitmore as the MC for our seventh annual Haiti Ball this coming Saturday, 20 January at the InterContinental Hotel in Dublin.

The Haiti Ball will be the highlight of our Haiti Week activities, an annual initiative to bring attention and support to local families and communities in Haiti, which remains one of the poorest countries in the world.

Speaking about the event, Laura said, “I am honoured to host this year’s Haiti Ball in Dublin and support the hugely important ground work Haven has done and continues to do in Haiti, empowering the local community after natural and economic devastation”.

An accomplished presenter, model and actor, Laura has worked in show business for more than a decade.  Working for MTV for almost ten years, Laura has reported from music and film festivals around the world, and interviewed some of the biggest names in show business, from Coldplay to Sir Michael Caine, Justin Timberlake to Justin Bieber. She has hosted the live red carpet and backstage at the Brits for ITV2 five times and twice for BAFTA, while, in 2016, she got her dancing shoes on for BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. In February 2018, Laura will travel to South Africa to host a new show ‘Survival of the Fittest’, the ultimate battle of the sexes from the makers of Love Island, for ITV Studios.
