Thomas T. Bryant (Chairman)
Thomas was appointed Chairman of Haven US in January 2013. Thomas has 20 years’ experience in the mobile telecoms industry, having held leadership positions with United States (US) and international mobile networks, including Verizon, Nextel and Digicel.
Thomas has held various senior executive roles in Digicel over the last seven years, and currently serves as the Senior Vice President – Global Operations in the Digicel Group, one of the fastest-growing cellular companies in the world.
Additionally, Thomas has served for over three years on Vodafone’s Global Handset Selection Board, the only non-Vodafone executive on this uniquely influential committee. Also, he is an advisor to the GSMA Association – Foundation Board.
In addition to his duties at Digicel, Thomas is Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for Brightstar-Russia.
Thomas serves on the Board of Director’s of two other international charities, including the Sheba Medical Center-Tel Hashomer, Israel and the National Concert Hall of Ireland.
Deborah joined Board of Directors of Haven US in December 2016. Having spent the better part of the last 8 years working in Haiti, she is keenly aware of the needs of the Haitian people.
Deborah is the Executive Director of The Women of Milot Entrepreneurial Network (W.O.M.E.N.), an organization she founded in Cap Haitien shortly after Haiti’s devastating earthquake in 2010. She was also recently appointed Chair and Executive Director of Haiti Babi, a non-profit organization already working in Haiti. Both organizations focus on job creation for underprivileged women in Haiti.
As a longtime supporter of philanthropy, Deborah has worked for more than 25 years on a variety of causes that are important to her including our military vets, under-served women and children’s education.
Deborah splits her time between homes in Cap Haitien, Haiti and Englewood, New Jersey.
Leslie is one of Ireland’s leading business figures, with a hugely successful track record as an entrepreneur and business consultant. In August 2012, he was appointed Chairman of Independent News & Media, having previously served on the Board of the company.
Leslie is currently the Vice Chairman of Digicel, and a director and shareholder of a number of other Irish companies, including Actavo and Another 9. He also served on the Board of Aer Lingus from 2009 to 2012.
Leslie, along with his wife Carmel, founded Haven in 2008, and plays an active role in the day-to-day running of the charity.
Maurice is the CEO of Healy group located in Tallaght, Dublin 24. Healy Group is involved in the importation and distribution of food ingredients and raw materials for the food and pharmaceutical sectors in the UK and Ireland.
Maurice is particularly interested in promoting social entrepreneurship through education and community work programmes. Maurice is on the board of the following organisations: Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, Irish Chamber Orchestra, Haven Partnership, Philanthropy Ireland and traidlinks.
Donal joined the Board of Directors of Haven US in 2011. A native of Ballinskelligs, County Kerry, Donal O’Sullivan immigrated to the United States in 1984 in search of work in construction. Today, he is the President and Co-Owner of Navillus Contracting, which he founded along with his sister Helen, and his brothers Kevin and Leonard. Navillus Contracting is one of New York City’s largest contractors, specializing in superstructure concrete, masonry, tile and stone. Most notably, it was Donal’s great privilege and honor to have Navillus as one of the predominant contractors of the 9/11 Memorial at the World Trade Center.
Donal keeps very close ties with his Kerry heritage by involving himself in many civic associations and the Irish community in whole. He is a regular supporter of the Irish Arts Center and the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). He is a member of the Kerryman’s Patriotic and Benevolent Association, and has been the primary sponsor of the Kerry Football Club of New York for many years, of which he was named Guest of Honor in 2010.
When Donal is not working, he is a proud husband to his wife, Kathleen, and parent to his six children, Jack, Donal, Katie, Caroline, Michael and Kelly. Donal frequently travels back to Ireland to visit his mother, Teresa O’Sullivan, and connect with his Irish roots.
Dennis joined the Board of Directors of Haven US in 2013. He assisted in its formation as a tax-exempt Delaware non-profit corporation in 2011, and continues to advise it on legal matters.
Dennis is a transactional attorney with more than 30 years of corporate and securities law experience. He is a partner in the New York City law firm of Pelosi Wolf Effron and Spates LLP, which offers a broad range of legal services, from intellectual property counseling and transactions, to dispute resolution and litigation, and from general corporate matters to financings, mergers and acquisitions.
Dennis and his wife Loretta reside in New York City, where they raised their daughter Madeline.
